Retrieving DeviceID and APIKeys

Welcome to LiftAuth! This guide will walk you through the process of installing our smart panels, registering your devices, and integrating our ROS package with your robot.

Step 1: Install Smart Panels​

Ensure our smart panels are installed in your building. Contact us at hello@liftauth.com for a quote.

Step 2: Locate the Unique DeviceID​

Find the unique device ID on your installed device. The ID is located on a sticker on the device. It will look something like this:

Step 3: Add the Device​

  1. Go to our web application at LiftAuth Webapp.
  2. Login to your account. If you do not have an account, you can create one here.
  3. Navigate to the dashboard section on the home page.
  4. Click on the "Add Device" button.
  5. Enter a name of your choice in the Device Name field.
  6. Enter the unique device ID found on your device in the Device ID field.
  7. Click "Add". If your device should be successfully added, you will redirected back to the home page.

Step 4: Collect Your APIKey​

After registering your device, you will receive an API key. This key is essential for integrating our system with your robot.

  1. In the web application, navigate to the "API Keys" section on the left NavMenu. Alternatively, you can click here.
  2. Locate and copy your new API key. It will be displayed in the API Key field.
